Yes, all our marathon packages come with guaranteed race entry.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. As tour operators, we are required to sell race entry along with accommodation. Our contract with the race does not permit us to sell a stand-alone race entry.

To ensure you continue receiving important marathon updates, please follow these steps:

• Check your confirmation invoice to make sure your email address and phone number are correct.
• Add info@activeholidaycompany and reserve@activeholidaycompany to your safe-sender list to avoid missing emails.
• Save +91 98866 81381 on your phone to receive broadcast updates from us.
• If you require a visa, please plan your application timelines carefully. You can contact us for accommodation confirmations and supporting documents. Please note that obtaining a visa is the traveller’s responsibility.
• Race registrations typically open 4–6 months before the event, provided full payment has been made. We will contact you once registrations begin.

Blocking your spot with Active Holiday Company guarantees you a place for this event. However, full payment does not automatically register you for the race. All runners must complete the official race registration themselves by filling out the event registration form.

The registration link will be sent to the email address used for your booking once we have received your full payment. Please note that there are strict deadlines to complete this process, and it is your responsibility to ensure that you register within the specified timelines.

We send a reminder, but we do not follow up more than once regarding race registration. If you are unable to participate because you did not complete the registration, Active Holiday Company cannot be held responsible or liable for this.

You do not need a qualifying time to run the Amsterdam Marathon through Active Holiday Company. Tour operator entries for the Amsterdam Marathon do not require any qualifying time.

Unfortunately, we do not offer the option for travellers to stay at any hotels other than the one we already have on our itinerary. We choose our hotels painstakingly, ensuring that they are well-located and have all the necessary amenities and comforts. We like to foster an atmosphere of camaraderie on our trips, and this happens when runners are staying in the same hotels.

We have several single runners interested in sharing a room with another runner and, wherever possible, we try to pair up people who have requested rooms on twin share. However, please keep in mind that this is not a guarantee and in some cases you might be required to take a single supplement. If you have a friend who is already on the group you'd like to share your room with please let us know your preference at the time of making the booking so we can pair you together.

Yes, it is possible for you to stay with our marathon group if you already have race entry or if you are travelling as a non-running companion. However, please note that this will be at the same hotel as the rest of the group travelling on our package.

Please contact us in advance if you would like to add extra nights before or after your trip, as we may be able to include these within your existing booking. If you choose to book additional nights directly with the hotel, you may be required to change rooms during your stay. This is because the room type you book independently may differ from the one allocated as part of our group booking. As marathon weekends are in high demand, hotels are often unable to guarantee that you can remain in the same room throughout your stay.

Check-in at all hotels is from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge, payable directly to the hotel. As marathon weekends are very busy, early check-in cannot be guaranteed. If you require a room immediately upon arrival, we recommend booking the room for the previous night. You may store your luggage with the hotel concierge or in the luggage room at no extra charge until your room is ready.

Yes, the Amsterdam Marathon requires that the participants attend the expo in person and collect their bibs. Directions between your hotel and the expo and further expo details will be included in your travel documents.

The Amsterdam Marathon does not allow entries provided through tour operators to be deferred to the following year. While runners who receive their entries through the ballot or a charity may have the option to defer, this is not available for entries purchased through us. Please review our cancellation policy carefully before making your payment, as bookings are non-refundable.

Active Holiday Company does not offer this service. However, we understand that tickets and visas can be tricky, so we are happy to point you in the direction of people who can help you with this. We recommend applying as early as possible to allow sufficient time for processing and to avoid last-minute delays.
