Given the time difference and the travel time to Sydney, we recommend that you arrive on Thursday or earlier. After your arrival at the airport, make your way to the hotel and check in. If you have time, you can visit the expo.

If you have opted for a 3 night stay, your trip starts today. If you are arriving today please ensure you arrive in time to attend the welcome dinner cruise that starts at 7 PM as it is a not to be missed experience. There is ample time to get to the expo earlier today.

We will head out on a small shake-out run/walk before breakfast. Later, we head out for a 90 min guided tour of one of Sydney's most historic areas - The Rocks. This exploration is planned with little walking and takes you to places you are absolutely not going to find on your own! The evening is free.

Today is race day! Enjoy the buzzing energy of the event as you run one of the world’s most scenic marathon courses, taking in some of Sydney’s most spectacular and historic landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Later, join us for a party to celebrate at a local pub with your fellow runners.

Check-out time is 11 AM. We recommend extending your trip and taking a few extra days to explore Australia - visit the Great Barrier Reef or venture into the Outback.

Amora Jamison Sydney (5 Star)
The sophisticated Amora Jamison is a 2-minute walk from Wynyard train station, that will get you to the start line of the Sydney Marathon within minutes. Located in Sydney's Central Business District you will be just is 1.4 km from the finish line and many other attractions. Expect plush rooms with luxury ameneties, rooms with views, a great breakfast and a spa with a heated indoor pool, a sauna, a gym and a steam room.
Rydges Australia Square (4 Stars)
This contemporary hotel is fabulously located and provides easy access to the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay and the city’s financial precinct. This centrally located hotel is 20 minutes away from Sydney Airport and just 1.4 km away from Sydney Opera House, where the marathon ends.
Pacific House Hostel
Located in a vibrant neigbourhood in a building dating back to 1892, this trendy hostel is 2 kms from the Sydney Opera House, the finish line of the Sydney Marathon. The accommodation is mixed gender multi-bed dorms with bed linens, Wi-Fi, and lockers or wardrobes. Hang out at the communual lounge or the café.

- Typically, the cost of flights, visas, passport, insurance is not included in the tour price unless stated otherwise.
- Any meals not mentioned as included are at your own expense.
- Single rooms, optional tours and extra nights cost extra.
- Tips for drivers, guides and tour managers is not included in your tour price.
- Arrival and departure transfers may or may not be included in your tour price – this is clearly stated on the trip page.
- Excess baggage, porterage, laundry, phone calls, alcoholic beverages are considered personal expenses and not included in your tour price.
- GST, VAT and other taxes as applicable in your country are additional to the tour price.

DEPOSIT
- To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of INR 75,000 per person (for race participants) and INR 30,000 per person (for companions) is required.
- Bookings without payment within 72 hours are auto-cancelled.
FINAL PAYMENT
- Full payment is due on or before 30 April 2026.
- Please ensure you set a reminder on your calendar since we do not follow up for payments individually.
- Bookings without final payments are auto-cancelled.
- Race registrations are sent only after we have received your final payment.

TRANSFER & DEFERRAL
- In the case of a booking with race entry included, your non-refundable deposit is specifically for the trip and the year that you have booked.
- Unless the rules of the event permit deferral to another year or a transfer to / replacement for another participant with or without a fee, your non-refundable deposit cannot be applied to another event or year, even if Active Holiday Company is the official travel partner for the event.
- Bookings without race entry included can be transferred as per policy applicable to the booking.
OTHER CONDITIONS
- All costs exclude GST 5% and 5% TCS (for bookings made in India).
- All digital payments, including UPI, attract a 3% Platform Fee. Partial payments will be charged the fee to the extend that is paid via the digital platform. To avoid the 3% please arrange a direct bank transfer.
- Our prices are per person. Even if you have booked a single room for your exclusive use it is mandatory to pay for all your travel companions.
- The use of any service, including hotel services, by anyone who is not a paid participant is strictly prohibited.
- Active Holiday Company reserves the right to amend prices if the currency fluctuates more than 5%.

All entrants must be aged 18 years or older on event day to participate in the Sydney Marathon.
All race bibs will need to be collected from the Sydney Running Show. Your travel documents will contain the information you need to reach the venue along with timings.
The start area is located at Bradfield Park, Milsons Point – under the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and adjacent to Milsons Point Train Station. The finish area for the TCS Sydney Marathon is the iconic Sydney Opera House. The Recovery Village is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens, located in Tarpeian Way, off Macquarie Street, approximately 300m from the Sydney Opera House.
It is advised that all participants take public transport to the event to avoid the large number of road closures that will be in place throughout the day, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge closing from 4 AM to 11 AM.
The route of the Sydney Marathon takes runners through Sydney's streets, with scenic views of the harbour, parks, and iconic landmarks like the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The TCS Sydney Marathon takes place in the Australian spring, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C.

Gauri Jayaram
Gauri has spent over 28 years in the travel business including a 8.5 year stint as the Regional Director for S.A & M.E for the World's largest coach touring company. Her experience, combined with her love for exploring destinations differently makes her the best (wo)man for the top job at Active Holiday Company. Having taken her first road trip when she was just 5 days old, it appears that the bug never left her and she's travelled to over 65 countries (says she doesn't keep a count!). She celebrated her 40th birthday by running half a dozen half marathons in as many locations - including a race to the lowest point on earth (The Dead Sea Ultra Run in Jordan) and then trekked to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain – the Mt. Everest – a trip that became a turning point in her life. And, finally at this tender age she bought herself a hybrid bicycle to replace her depreciated car! Voted one of the Most Influential Persons in the Travel Industry by NDTV Profit and Travel News Digest (2014), she also a published author. She has lent her expertise to leading travel magazines as a writer and jury member. To her adventure means daring to follow one’s beliefs with conviction, even though sometimes they could take you to the end of the world!
