What Our Runners Say...

Mr

Excellent experience from start to finish. Everything was well organized, communication was clear, and the team was very supportive. The hotel, transfers, and race arrangements were all handled professionally. I would definitely travel with Active Holiday Company again.

Seeing thousands of runners at the start line and crossing the finish line reminded me that consistency and determination can achieve any goal.

Arrive a few days early to adjust and collect your race pack without stress. Bring comfortable walking shoes, stay hydrated, and enjoy the atmosphere before race day. Trust the itinerary and follow the guidance from the Active team.

Capetown Marathon

This is my 5th trip with Active Holidays, and every single experience has been absolutely wonderful. They not only provide great accommodation, but also take the best care of every other aspect of the trip. Thank you, Gouri!

All the trips from Active

Awsome Cape Town Trip

This was my third marathon trip with Active and one of the best. The hotel location, the vineyard trip and the after party was awsome. Thank you Gauri.

Wonderful Experience with Gauri and the Team

I booked my first marathon holiday with them and it was a wonderful experience. Gauri and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. They don’t just book your holiday, they look after you during the whole trip. They took us to nice restaurants for lunch and organized a lovely party after the marathon. Everything was well organized and easy. I will definitely contact Gauri again to book my next marathon holiday.

Lunch at the vineyard restaurant. The beautiful views and the great food.

Amazing SA trip with Active holiday

Extraordinary experience

Cape Town Marathon was just amazing. You couldn’t have asked for better weather, a fabulous picturesque route, incredible community support and superb arrangements. The energy throughout the course was electrifying and every stretch offered breathtaking views. The volunteers, spectators and fellow runners made the entire experience truly memorable. And when it comes to Active Holidays, Gauri and her team never settle for anything less than perfect. From the excellent hotel stay — just 500 meters from the start line for me — to the wonderful get-together with fellow runners, the city tour, partial route recce, pre-race lunch and post-race dinner, everything was thoughtfully planned and exceptionally well managed. Just amazing from start to finish.

Marathon

Location of the Hotel was perfect.

Finishing of the marathon.

Go for it. Running in Cape Town is different.

Excellent trip and organising by the team was superb

Cape Town Marathon with AHC ultimate delight

Ran 42.2 km, but somehow Active Holidays made it feel like a holiday 😄 Everything about the Cape Town Marathon trip was so smooth, I almost forgot I had to actually run! Even the race prep was… dare I say… enjoyable. Big shoutout to Gauri for being the ultimate boss—handling everything so we could just show up, run, and recover. If you want to suffer on race day only, and not during the trip planning—these are your people!

We were on a city tour , and the weather was bad and it started raining , Gauri rushed to a shop nearby and bought all the umbrellas the shop had for us .. no one would have done such a thing..

Thank you Gauri and AHC

Mr

I have run 6 of my majors with Active holidays , absolutely the best and most professional marathon tour operators , keep up the good work .

My 8th star at CAPETOWN -

Just come 2 to 3 days before to get yourself acquainted with weather .

Excellent Marathon Tour Service

Great marathon tour experience overall. Everything was well organized, from hotel and transport to race-day support. Communication was clear and the trip was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for runners joining international marathons.”

“ Realizing how much easier race travel becomes when logistics are handled professionally.”

Arrive early, prepare your race gear in advance, stick to your usual nutrition plan, and take time to enjoy the destination — the experience is more than just the marathon.”

Cape Town marathon 2026

One of the best trips and experiences I have had so far. The choice of hotel - Radisson Collection - is probably the best decision. All arrangements were excellent. I am so thankful to team Active Holiday under the leadership of Gauri Jayaram, for helping me fulfil my dreams of running the world majors.

Although difficult to say - but touching the finish line, as shown in the attached photo, is probably the most ah-ha moment of this trip.

Guys if you dream of running the international marathons without ability to have qualifying time - Trust Active Holiday Company . You dream - they help you fulfil them.

Amazing Cape Town

Well organized trip and support is given. The hotel location is superb!

The Active souvenir shirt has awesome design.

Don’t miss the networking lunch trip.

My 5th Continent

It was a wonderful trip....I was wary since it was my first trip with Active but honestly I had a good time. Gauri is energetic and tries to connect with all .

The dance at the Vineyard

Safety of personal belongings ...be aware of your wallet, mobile and bags .
When not needed , keep it in the bus or at the hotel itself .
When outdoors hold personal belongings close to yourself , lest a pickpocket ruins a part of your trip .

Amazing experience

Active Holiday booked me in a great Hotel right by the Atlantic promenade and close to the start/finish line and the expo. The arrangements were splendid. Although I only reached a day before the marathon, I heard good feedback from my friends who had availed of the local tours organized by Active. Looking forward to Sydney with Active

Just book and leave the rest to Acrive Holiday Co. They take care of everything for you.

Totally Worth It!

I booked the NYC Marathon 2025 spot with the Active Holiday and it was an amazing experience! The Active team is experienced and extremely responsive. From the outreach in the lead up to the event and from the day we touched down in NYC, everything was just smooth sailing. We knew what to do and when to do it, thanks to the Active team. Overall, the whole experience was totally worth it! I would definitely book with them again!

The feeling of holding the finishers medal-price less!!!

Was not able to find the NewYork Times paper anywhere, if the hotel or the agency could order for all the runners, and yes we can pay for it, but feeling so bad that I didn’t get the paper 😢

Best to run and leave the rest to Actuve

Couldn’t have asked for a better place and experience to run the NY marathon. So seamlessly done, all we had to was just go and run. Thank you Gauri for making us enjoy the world majors this way. Looking forward to finish others too with ACTIVE HOLIDAYS.

Race day logistics were absolutely crucial and so meticulous. The stay was perfect to the finish.

TCS NYC Marathon 2025

Thanks to Active holidays for the very well organised trip. Good choices of top class comfortable hotels at a very convenient places for the runners.

The check-in was super smooth. The hotel was well informed and prepared to receive us in advance.

NYC Marathon

I had the most amazing experience with Active Sports for the NY Marathon. Everything was organised beautifully. The itinerary was clear, the days leading up to the race ran smoothly, and the whole process on marathon day felt like clockwork. From the hotel transport, to the ferry, to getting our groups together, the reminders, every detail was taken care of and it made the entire journey stress-free and enjoyable. Thank you, Gauri. Your dedication and hard work truly paid off. I met some wonderful people through this experience, and I’m grateful for all of it. Look forward to many such experiences !

My Dream New York Marathon

Seamless, runner-first planning with a warm personal touch from Gauri turned a delayed, diverted flight into a smooth arrival—and set the tone for a perfectly organized NYC Marathon trip

The New York City Marathon was pure magic—the electric crowds across all five boroughs pulled me over every bridge and hill straight into Central Park.

New York City Marathon is pure magic—unmissable for any runner—with crowds so loud and loving they carry you over every bridge and hill. The city turns into a five‑borough block party, and the energy from start to Central Park is second to none. On the whole, New York Marathon is a grand spectacle, just like the city itself.

Simply the best

I got introduced to active holiday through a friend . I was desperate to get admission in the top major marathons . I never imagined that my dream of doing all the major marathons in 12 months could come true given the high demand and the huge waiting lists for admission in those marathons . But active holiday did all they can and managed to secure admission for me in every single race one after the other . Im for ever grateful . the service is amazing , swift and gracious . Highly recommended

I booked one of the hotels personally a while before the event and i didn't like the room . Gauri the head of active holiday intervened and was able to secure a much better room for me even though the hotel directly told me that it was not possible and that had a huge effect on my experience as a whole .

Listen to their advise and trust their process and book early .

Had a wonderful experience with Active Holidays during the NYC Marathon. The hotel was perfectly located near the finish line with excellent metro connectivity. Gauri was available throughout to address all queries promptly. The shakeout run was well organized and a great touch before race day!

TCS NYC Marathon

A tough race in the iconic city with it’s numerous logistic complexities well handled by Active Holidays team, with a personal attention to details and happiness filled moments of finish line tour and photo ops at Central Park and Times Square. A memorable experience.

Perfect Clockwork travel to start point at Staten Island through the Bus-Ferry-Bus transportation !
Photo ops at Times square

Choose the Ferry timing to Staten Island wisely to avoid a long wait at start village. 1h30min door to door.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for giving my wife and me the incredible opportunity to take part in the world’s largest marathon — the 2025 New York City Marathon. Even if you’re lucky enough to win the lottery entry, you almost never win it in the same year as your loved one. But your company made it possible for us to share these bright and joyful emotions together. Everything was perfect — from the moment we booked the tour to the flawless organization of our stay and transfers in New York City. We truly appreciate your professionalism and care. We sincerely hope to continue working with you and run more World Marathon Majors together. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Great Experience

My first ever marathon, and my first trip for a sports related event and I must say Active Holidays had all bases covered. NYC is a tough marathon with difficult logistics but they were made as easy as they could have been because of how Active planned everything. The hotel was a great location and very very comfortable, the transport on the day of the event went off like clockwork, the prep sessions before travelling to the event and while staying for the event answered all the questions that could have come up. These guys are solid and very dedicated and quite clearly very very good at what they do. I hope to do many more marathons going forward and Active will likely be my first choice every time. Thank you Gauri and team for making my first marathon so memorable.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the location of the hotel and the quality of the services it offered. Really put my mind at ease for the challenges that lie ahead

Be sure to avail the preparation sessions that are offered. While its impossible to preempt every challenge you will face, the information and tips these guys pass on really help clear a lot of uncertainties. The days before a marathon are nervous times even for those who have done it many times before and the clarity on what the plan is on race day really helps.

Excellent experience for Berlin and New York Marathon 2025

We had an amazing time doing the Berlin and New York Marathon with Active Holiday Company. The arrangements were seamless, the stay was excellent, and everything was so well coordinated. Gauri and her team were fantastic — helpful, organized, and always available. They made the whole experience smooth and truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Simply flawless in wt ever u guys do

I’ve completed the London, Berlin, and New York Marathons with Active Holiday Company, and every experience has been exceptional! Their coordination, stay arrangements, and overall organization made each race stress-free and truly memorable. It’s the perfect blend of expert planning and personal touch—highly recommend them for any international marathon adventure

Central Park morning run/ walk followed by picnic breakfast

Mr

Wonderfully organized trip for the NYC marathon. The ITO ferry is the best way to get to the start line.

Great set of people. Even though I did not stay at the hotel, very nice hotel choice!

Don’t get to the start line too early - its cold out there!

Well organized Running Trip

This was my first marathon and first time with Active holidays to take this running trip . I was skeptical at the beginning but everything went so well . Quick response times, clear communication thru emails and clear briefing before the trip and the run . Looking forward for my next with them .

The Indian Flag that was put up by active holidays 2km towards the end of the finish line. Very thoughtful and spirit of being Indian .

Fun unlimited . Just book it and leave it to active holidays. No more worries or hassle

Seamless Chicago Marathon Experience – Well Organized, Runner & Companion Friendly!

Had an excellent experience with the tour company organizing the Chicago Marathon trip. The hotel stay was comfortable, conveniently located close to both the start and finish points, and they even arranged an early check-in — a real blessing for runners! The arrangements were smooth, with free water, helpful pre-race guidance, and a lovely architecture tour that everyone enjoyed. The trip was also companion friendly, making it a great experience not just for runners but for those accompanying them too.

Realizing how much smoother and more enjoyable a marathon trip can be when every detail — from logistics to local experiences — is handled with such care. It allowed me to focus entirely on running while my companions had a great time exploring and soaking in the Chicago spirit!

Arrive 3 days before race if possible — it helps with rest and adjusting to the time zone, collecting bibs.
Take advantage of the early check-in and stay near the start/finish area — it saves energy on race day.
Join the architecture tour; it’s great!
Carry a reusable water bottle during the tour.
Visit the Art Institute of Chicago, where Swami Vivekananda delivered his historic speech at the World’s Parliament of Religions in 1893.

Amazing as usual

This has been another well organised trip . Really appreciate all the hard work you guys put in these trips . Looking forward to the next one .

Being able to walk back to the hotel after the marathon in a few minutes . Great locations .

The entire experience was very smooth — from clear communication to well-planned logistics, everything was handled so efficiently that all we had to do was show up and run. The hotel’s location was perfect, being so close to the venue, which made race day much easier. I also appreciated the shake-out run and the chance to meet the whole group — it set a nice tone for the weekend. The visit to the venue the day before was another thoughtful touch that made everything feel well organized. Overall, you made the marathon weekend easy and stress-free, and I truly appreciated that.

The true “aha moment” is when you cross the finish line — exhausted, exhilarated, and proud all at once.

Enjoy the journey and make the most of meeting others in the group — it’s a wonderful way to connect, share experiences, and feel part of something bigger. You’ll likely stay in touch long after the race.
