BMW Berlin-Marathon

All of our World Marathon Majors trips come with guaranteed race entry. Active Holiday Company is an officially-appointed international tour operator for the BMW Berlin Marathon.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. As tour operators, we are required to sell race entry along with accommodation. Our contract with the race does not permit us to sell a stand-alone race entry.

To ensure you continue receiving important marathon updates, please follow these steps:

• Check your confirmation invoice to make sure your email address and phone number are correct.
• Add info@activeholidaycompany and reserve@activeholidaycompany to your safe-sender list to avoid missing emails.
• Save +91 98866 81381 on your phone to receive broadcast updates from us.
• If you require a visa, please plan your application timelines carefully. You can contact us for accommodation confirmations and supporting documents. Please note that obtaining a visa is the traveller’s responsibility.
• Download the Active Holiday Company App to access trip details and connect with fellow travellers. Your trip access code will be sent via email or WhatsApp.
• Race registrations typically open 4–6 months before the event, provided full payment has been made. We will contact you once registrations begin.

Blocking your spot with Active Holiday Company guarantees you a place on this high-demand event. However, full payment does not automatically register you for the race. All runners must complete the official race registration themselves by filling out the event registration form.
The registration link will be sent to the email address used for your booking once we have received your full payment. Please note that there are strict deadlines to complete this process, and it is your responsibility to ensure that you register within the specified timelines.
We send a reminder, but we do not follow up more than once regarding race registration. If you are unable to participate because you did not complete the registration, Active Holiday Company cannot be held responsible or liable for this.

You do not need a qualifying time to run Berlin Marathon through Active Holiday Company. Tour operator entries for the BMW Berlin Marathon do not require any qualifying time.

A double room means that the two people sharing the room sleep on the same king/queen-sized bed.
A twin room means there are two separate single beds in the room.

NH Berlin Mitte is a well-appointed 4-star hotel offering comfortable rooms, modern amenities, and a central location close to many of the city’s major sights and transport links.
Three Little Pigs Hostel at Potsdamer Platz provides clean, budget-friendly accommodation in a historic building, with a social atmosphere and convenient access to public transport and key marathon areas.
Both properties have been selected for their excellent locations and ease of access to the race start/finish areas and expo. Past runners have also appreciated the comfort, convenience, and overall experience offered by these accommodations.

Yes, it is possible for you to stay with our marathon group if you already have race entry or if you are travelling as a non-running companion. However, please note that this will be at the same hotel as the rest of the group travelling on our package.

We have several single runners interested in sharing a room. Wherever possible, we try to pair up people who have requested rooms on a twin share basis. However, please keep in mind that this is not a guarantee and in some cases, you might be required to take a single room. If you have a friend who will join the same trip with whom you would like to share your room, please let us know your preference at the time of making the booking so we can pair you together.

We offer two accommodation options for the Berlin Marathon package — NH Berlin Mitte (4-star) and Three Little Pigs Hostel at Potsdamer Platz. While we are unable to arrange stays at alternative properties, you may choose to upgrade between these two options before the final payment due date. Both accommodations are well-rated, offer good amenities, and are strategically located with convenient access to the race, expo, and major city sights. They have been carefully selected to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay for our runners.

Please contact us in advance if you would like to add extra nights before or after your trip, as we may be able to include these within your existing booking.
If you choose to book additional nights directly with the hotel, you may be required to change rooms during your stay. This is because the room type you book independently may differ from the one allocated as part of our group booking. As marathon weekends are in high demand, hotels are often unable to guarantee that you can remain in the same room throughout your stay.

Check-in at all hotels is from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge, payable directly to the hotel.
As marathon weekends are very busy, early check-in cannot be guaranteed. If you require a room immediately upon arrival, we recommend booking the room for the previous night.
You may store your luggage with the hotel concierge or in the luggage room at no extra charge until your room is ready.

Yes, all the World Marathon Majors require that the participants attend the expo in person and collect their bibs. Directions between your hotel and the expo will be included in your travel documents.

The choice of both baggage drop and poncho is not available. All runners are automatically allocated a poncho during the registration process and it is included in your participation fee. If you prefer a baggage drop, you can add this to your registration by logging in to your registration account and book the baggage drop option for 5 Euro. In this case the poncho option will be automatically cancelled.

If you have booked your sixth and final Abbott World Marathon Major race, please contact us so that we can guide you through the process of collecting your medal in the finish area.

The exact coverage will be detailed in the conditions of your insurance policy and we encourage you to check whether you can make a claim with them directly. Most Indian insurance providers cover a very small part of the cancellation fee.

The BMW Berlin Marathon does not allow entries provided through tour operators to be deferred to the following year. While runners who receive their entries through the ballot or a charity may have the option to defer, this is not available for entries purchased through us. Please review our cancellation policy carefully before making your payment, as bookings are non-refundable.

Berlin Marathon does not allow runners to transfer their spots to other runners. Entries are also non-refundable under all circumstances.

Active Holiday Company does not offer this service. However, we understand that tickets and visas can be tricky, so we are happy to point you in the direction of people who can help you with this. You can apply for a standard Berlin Visitor visa up to 3 months before your intended travel date. We recommend applying as early as possible within this window to allow sufficient time for processing and to avoid last-minute delays.
