If you meet this criteria, you can secure a guaranteed entry without a qualifying time through our official tour operator allocation. Participants must, however, complete the marathon within the six-hour course time limit.

Unfortunately, no. As an official tour operator, we are required to offer race entry together with accommodation and therefore cannot sell race entries separately.

Yes. You are welcome to stay with our group and enjoy all other trip services, even if you already have your own race entry or are travelling as a non-running companion.

Unfortunately, no. For certain events, including the Boston Marathon, our group stays together at one designated hotel. As our hotel contracts are based on group arrangements, it is not possible to upgrade or downgrade to a different property.

We often have solo travellers interested in sharing accommodation and, wherever possible, we try to pair guests requesting a twin-share basis. However, this cannot be guaranteed and, in some cases, a single room may be required. Please also note that twin rooms are limited in the United States, so you may be allocated a king-size bed to share with another runner.

Due to exceptionally high demand during the Boston Marathon, hotel availability in downtown Boston is limited. We have carefully selected a premium hotel that offers excellent proximity to both the marathon finish area and the Expo, along with high-quality amenities designed to enhance your marathon experience.

Yes. Please get in touch with us and we will be delighted to arrange additional nights for you. We can also assist in planning an extended stay should you wish to explore Boston or continue your travels within the United States after the marathon.

Yes. All Abbott World Marathon Majors require participants to collect their race bibs in person at the Expo. Your travel documents will include detailed instructions on how to get to and from the Expo from your hotel.

If Boston is your sixth and final Abbott World Marathon Major, please let us know in advance. We will be happy to guide you through the process of collecting your Six Star Finisher Medal after the race.

Unfortunately, no. Boston Marathon does not permit runners to defer their registration to a future edition of the race.

No. Boston Marathon registrations are strictly non-transferable and cannot be transferred to another participant.

Most Indian travel insurance providers cover only a small portion of cancellation costs. The exact level of coverage will depend on the terms of your policy, and we encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to determine whether you are eligible to make a claim.

Yes. We can assist with both visa applications and flight bookings for an additional charge. Please get in touch with us for further details.

Wonderful Experience with Gauri and the Team

I booked my first marathon holiday with them and it was a wonderful experience. Gauri and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. They don’t just book your holiday, they look after you during the whole trip. They took us to nice restaurants for lunch and organized a lovely party after the marathon. Everything was well organized and easy. I will definitely contact Gauri again to book my next marathon holiday.

Extraordinary experience

Cape Town Marathon was just amazing. You couldn’t have asked for better weather, a fabulous picturesque route, incredible community support and superb arrangements. The energy throughout the course was electrifying and every stretch offered breathtaking views. The volunteers, spectators and fellow runners made the entire experience truly memorable. And when it comes to Active Holidays, Gauri and her team never settle for anything less than perfect. From the excellent hotel stay — just 500 meters from the start line for me — to the wonderful get-together with fellow runners, the city tour, partial route recce, pre-race lunch and post-race dinner, everything was thoughtfully planned and exceptionally well managed. Just amazing from start to finish.
